Summary

The events of early 71 BC during the Third Servile War. Marcus Licinius Crassus takes command of the both the former consular legions and newly raised legions. Crassus engages Spartacus in southern Picenum, and turns the tide of the war, forcing Spartacus to retreat through Lucania to the straits near Messina.
