Note: "No alphabet" in all easily visible cases on this map refers to Chinese logograms, which are not an alphabet. The "Other alphabets" on the map include the Greek (Greece, Cyprus), Mkhedruli Georgian (Georgia), Armenian (Armenia), Hebrew (Israel), Hangul (Korea), and kana syllabary (Japan). Korean and Japanese are written with a mixture of Chinese characters and native letters, although Chinese characters are dying out in Korea.

Note that Ge'ez (Ethiopia, Eritrea) is currently marked as "No alphabet".
